Organic content strategy.

Driving organic growth through search-led content and audience insights.

When COVID-19 brought paid marketing activity to a halt, Topdeck Travel needed to rethink how it attracted and engaged prospective travellers online. I was tasked with developing and delivering an organic content strategy that leveraged SEO, audience insights and brand storytelling to drive traffic across the website's product and editorial content.

Strategic approach.

I approached the project by combining SEO best practices, audience insights and brand storytelling to create an organic content ecosystem that supported Topdeck's broader marketing objectives.

My content strategy included:

  • SEO optimisation of product landing pages and itineraries

  • search-led keyword research and competitor analysis

  • content development for The Collective blog

  • tone of voice implementation following the brand refresh

  • stakeholder collaboration across product and marketing teams

  • optimisation of customer-facing content for discoverability and engagement.

Every content decision was informed by search intent and designed to help prospective travellers discover, understand and connect with Topdeck's products and experiences.

The challenge.

With international travel on hold and paid media budgets paused, organic acquisition became a key marketing priority for the business.

The challenge was two-fold:

  • optimise hundreds of product pages for search visibility and customer engagement

  • deliver high-quality, search-led content despite significant uncertainty surrounding travel itineraries during the pandemic.

Product information was constantly changing as travel restrictions evolved, requiring a flexible content strategy that balanced search intent, customer needs, and business priorities.

“Great SEO isn't about ranking higher – it's about helping the right people find the right content at the right time.”
